Mark Powell

Partner

Mark joined Monahans in 2024 following the transition from Moore South West, where he became a Partner in 2017. He began his career with PwC in 2004, including a three-year secondment to the firm’s Perth office in Australia, before moving to RSM in 2014.

Mark works with owner-managed businesses, large commercial organisations and not-for-profit clients across a range of sectors, including leisure and hospitality. He advises businesses on audit, financial reporting and wider business matters, helping business owners make informed decisions as their organisations grow and evolve.

His expertise includes UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS and statutory audit, working with businesses ranging from entrepreneurial companies to international groups. Mark particularly enjoys getting to know the businesses he works with and providing the support they need so they can focus on running and growing their organisations.

Mark is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

Away from work, Mark enjoys watching sport (especially when his children are playing), fitting in the occasional round of golf, travelling whenever he can and rounding off the day with the odd glass of wine.
