Mike joined Monahans in 2021 and has worked in accountancy since 2010, advising owner-managed businesses across a wide range of sectors. During that time, he has developed broad experience in statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, management accounts, cloud accounting and company secretarial services.

Mike manages a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, supporting clients through every stage of their business journey. Alongside compliance work, he helps business owners understand their financial position, identify opportunities and make informed commercial decisions.

Mike has particular expertise in year-end accounts, corporation tax, business advisory services, management reporting, cloud accounting and company secretarial compliance. He enjoys working closely with growing businesses throughout the year, explaining technical issues in straightforward language and providing practical advice that clients can put into action.

Mike is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

One of the most rewarding aspects of Mike’s role is seeing the businesses he works with develop over time. He also enjoys mentoring junior colleagues and helping the next generation of accountants build their careers.

Outside work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, following football and making the most of Somerset’s countryside whenever he gets the chance.
