Head of Payroll Services

Neil joined Monahans in 2012 after beginning his payroll career in London. Over more than 15 years in the profession, he has progressed from Payroll Technician to Head of Payroll Services, leading a growing team and helping clients keep pace with an ever-changing payroll landscape.

Neil oversees all aspects of payroll, from compliance and legislative change to process improvement, system implementation and payroll transformation. He works with businesses of all sizes, ensuring payroll runs accurately, efficiently and in line with the latest requirements, while continually looking for ways to improve systems and processes.

Neil believes payroll should make life easier for businesses, not more complicated. He takes a practical, approachable approach, helping clients understand changing legislation, resolve issues quickly and ensuring they have access to the right expertise whenever it’s needed. Supporting both clients and his team is one of the most rewarding parts of his role, and he enjoys finding ways to simplify complex payroll processes.

Neil holds qualifications in Payroll Management through the Payroll Centre, alongside a Diploma in Payroll Supervision, and remains committed to ongoing professional development to stay up to date with legislative and industry changes.

Outside work, Neil enjoys spending time with his family, keeping active through cycling and the gym, following Manchester United FC and travelling around the UK to discover new places together.
